Juvéderm® (Hyaluronic Acid Fillers)

Along with a trend toward living a longer, healthier life, more and more patients are looking to physicians to help them achieve a more youthful appearance. WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID (HA)?

Are JUVEDERM® treatments painful?

Like all filler treatments, there may be some discomfort during and following the injection, although the addition of the New Juvéderm® Lidocaine product has considerably diminished the discomfort associated with the injections. Juvéderm® filler is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to minimize potential discomfort. The smooth gel may also minimize discomfort during the treatment.

What are the side effects?

• After the treatment, some temporary reactions may occur (common with filler treatments)
• Usually mild to moderate in nature, they clear up on their own within 7 days.
• The most common are redness, pain, firmness, swelling & bruising.
